I actually don’t understand how people have the time to text on a cell phone, because now a day’s cell phones have small keyboards. How do you text on a small keyboard. Cheating with a cell phone should be restricted because if we use it to cheat we are not learning anything. I’ve noticed many people in class using their cell phone in the middle of class, and the teachers don’t notice its out.
I think cell phones are a bad idea just became people can cheat and its not fair to other people that don’t have the same opportunity to do the same as the kids with cell phones. I think the only thing wrong with that is the fact that if u do have a phone u should be able to have it out during lunch. I think that its stupid because people are going to tell other people if there is a pop quiz coming up no matter what happens or how it happens. So I don’t under stand why we cant have them during lunch. I think that it was a good and bad idea because of the facet of cheating in schools but I also think that we should be able to have them at lunch. These are a few of my opinions that I have to make about the no cell phone rule at our school.
Cheating with cell phones in school has become a big problem because the teachers thought it was okay to us it in the classroom. Many students admitted to them cheating with their cell phone. They either took pictures or texted them the test 35% of kids said that they cheat at least once with their cell phones. Then 48% had said that they had told their friend about a pop-quiz. And they looked up the answers on the internet because they have the access on their phones. Some kids wrote if the test was easier then they wouldn’t have to cheat or to have and open note book test. I think the teachers were being stupid for turning a blind eye to all the cheating.
These numbers in this article do not change my opinions about having cell phones in school. If people are that stupid to ask a friend the answer they just need to be caught getting the answer from a friend. The students do not even know if that is the right answer your friend is giving you. Or if they want to take the time to look up answers let them because they are taking up their time on the test. They probably will not even finish the test because they are wasting the time just to get one question right. Most of the time students do not use their phones for that reason. Most students use them because they are board in class and talk to their friend. Or maybe they have family issues so they are talking to a relative about family issues.
